History
Foundations
The Coachmen legacy all began back in 1964 in Middlebury, Indiana, when three brothers came together to breathe life into the existing RV market. In their first year of production, they built a whopping twelve travel trailers, one truck camper, and eighty truck caps. But the quality and craftsmanship of those few products quickly built Coachmen a reputation for delivering luxury at an affordable price, and their travel trailers in particular have been some of the best-selling models ever since.
Expansion
Since that humble beginning, Coachmen has expanded rapidly in order to meet the rising demand for their incredible RVs.They’re now a division of Forest River, Inc. and utilize a 220-acre property with a host of manufacturing plants and warehouses to help them keep up with their orders. In just fifty years, they built well over 750,000 units, and they’re building more every year!
